Peltandra virginana

Slow-spreading, 2 to 3 foot tall aquatic perennial with large, oblong to triangular, bright green, basal leaves. Commonly found spreading along shallow waterways. Blooms late spring to early summer followed by brown berries eaten by waterfowl. Sun to partial shade, wet soils.
