Corylus americana


Grows 8 to 10 feet with a 4 to 6 foot spread. A strong, multi-stemmed shrub often forming thickets.  Round edible nuts in fall.  Nice, orange fall color. Found on edges of woods, hedgerows and along open stone walls. Good for wildlife. Sun to partial sun.  Moist to dry soil.
