Swamp Loostrife

Decadon verticillatus

Grows 2 to 8 feet. A woody perennial often found lakeside in shallow water where it proliferates by rooting arching stem tips into the mud. Pink ½ inch blooms in July and August followed by red berries. Not to be confused with the invasive Purple Loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria). Wet soil. Sun to partial Sun.
